Dr. Mohammad Nishat is Professor at IBA. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics (specialization in finance) from Auckland Business School, University of Auckland, New Zealand and a Masters in Management Sciences and Economics from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Prior to this, he was a Research Professor and In-charge of graduate students at the Applied Economics Research Center, University of Karachi. He was also the Project and Co-project leader with teams deputed on research studies, awarded to the Applied Economics Research Center by international institutions like the World Bank, the Harvard Institute of International Development, IFPRI as well as federal, provincial and local government bodies.

Dr. Qazi Masood Ahmed

Dr. Qazi Masood is Professor (Economics) at IBA. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Bath, UK, and a Masters (Economics) and M.A. (Economics) from University of Karachi. He is also the Director of CBER (Center for Business and Economics Research) at IBA, from June 2010 to Present, and served as the Chairperson for the CEE (Centre for Executive Education) at IBA from January 2004 to 2009. A distinguished academic with over 35 years' diversified experience, Dr. Qazi was an Associate Professor at IBA from 2001 to 2010, and prior to this, served as the Senior Research Economist and Assistant Professor at the University of Karachi, from 1997 to 2001.

Dr. Baharom Abdul Hamid

Dr. Baharom Abdul Hamid is an Associate Professor at the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia. He also serves as the Director of Research and Publication at INCEIF. Prior to his joining INCEIF in 2015, he served as an Associate Professor of the School of Professional Studies (SPS). He had also worked as a Lecturer in University Putra Malaysia (2008-2010) and served as Associate Professor at Taylor's Education Group. Dr. Baharom graduated with a Ph.D. (Economics) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2012. He is an active researcher in Research Methodology, and also focuses on applied macro studies on non-niche economic areas and new horizons of research in applied economics, with strong interest in Economics of Crime, Natural Disaster and Military Expenditure. He also served at INCEIF as the Director for Research Management Centre (RMC).

Dr. Obiyathulla Ismath Bacha

Dr. Obiyathulla Ismath Bacha is a Professor of Finance at INCEIF, Malaysia. He served as the Head of the Graduate Studies Department at INCEIF. Prior to joining INCEIF, he was the Director of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Management Center. He received his Doctorate of Business Administration (Finance), Master of Business Administration (High Honors) and Master of Arts (Economics) from Boston University and Bachelor of Social Science from the Science University of Malaysia in Penang. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Finance at Boston University.

Professor Obiyathulla has been a President of the Malaysian Finance Association, and also a trainer at several institutions such as the Securities Commission of Malaysia and the Central Bank of Malaysia. Internationally, he has conducted training programs in Islamic Capital Markets at the University of Luxembourg, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Waseda University, Japan and IDB Jeddah. Professor Obiyathulla is also a member of the Shari'ah panels of Great Eastern Assurance Corp. Malaysia, HSBC Amanah, Malaysia and Five Pillars, Singapore.

Dr. Mohamed Eskandar Shah Mohd. Rasid

Dr. Mohamed Eskandar Shah Mohd. Rasid is an Associate Professor and the Dean of School of Graduate Studies at the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia. He also served as the Director of the INCEIF Centre for Islamic Wealth Management.

He holds Ph.D. in Finance from University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Prior to joining INCEIF, he was an Assistant Professor at Department of Finance, Kulliyah of Economics and Management Sciences, IIUM. During his doctoral studies, he also worked as a part time tutor at University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent International College. His main research interests are in the area of asset pricing, portfolio theory, capital structure and international finance. He currently serves as the Dean for School of Graduate Studies and the Deputy Director for BNP-Paribas-INCEIF Centre for Islamic Wealth Management.

Dr. Shamsher Mohamad Ramadili Mohd.

Professor at INCEIF, Malaysia and the Director of BNP-Paribas - INCEIF Centre for Islamic Asset and Wealth Management.

Dr. Shamsher Mohamad Ramadili Mohd. is a Professor at INCEIF, Malaysia and the Director of BNP-Paribas - INCEIF Centre for Islamic Asset and Wealth Management. Dr. Shamsher holds Ph.D. in Finance from University of Glasgow in Scotland. Prior to joining INCEIF, he taught Finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate level at University Putra Malaysia (UPM). He served UPM for 30 years. In 2012, he joined INCEIF as a Professor in Finance and Accounting. His areas of interest are accounting and finance.

Dr. Jawad Syed

Dean of Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS

Dr. Jawad Syed is the Dean of Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS. He has extensively published in the field of management focusing on diversity and equality with special focus on Muslims in western world. Dr. Syed was conferred the Sitara-e-Imtiaz on August 14, 2011 by the President of Pakistan for his contributions and public service in the field of equality and diversity management.

Dr. Paresh Narayan

Alfred Deakin Professor at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia

Dr. Paresh Narayan is an Alfred Deakin Professor at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. He was Australia's youngest Professor of Finance and served as the Chair of Finance at the Deakin University. His research areas of interest include Financial Econometrics, Finance and Energy Economics. He completed his Bachelors (in Economics and Geography) and Masters (in Development studies) from the University of South Pacific (USP), before moving to Australia for doctoral studies in 2001. On completion of his doctoral studies, Professor Paresh was appointed a lecturer at the Griffith Business School, on the Gold Coast, Australia, and was promoted to senior lecturer in 2005, becoming an Associate Professor in 2006.

He has also been a co-Editor-in-Chief of Economic Modeling, Associate Editor of Finance Research Letters and Studies in Economics & Finance, Subject Editor of Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money and Guest Editor of the Journal of Banking & Finance and Energy Economics.

Dr. Kamran Chattha

Dr. Kamran Chattha is Associate Professor at Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS. He has extensively published in the areas of Manufacturing Strategy, and Technology & Innovation Management. Currently he is pursuing research in the field of Management and Strategy for Halal firms, and also focusing on Islamic Management for Pakistani businesses.

Dr. Syed Aun R. Rizvi

Dr. Syed Aun R. Rizvi joined Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 2016. Previously Dr. Aun had served University of Nottingham as an Assistant Professor for two years. Aun holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Finance from INCEIF (Malaysia. His research interest focuses on financial markets, Islamic finance and Econophysics. His research particularly focuses on equity markets in emerging and Islamic countries.

Dr. Ahmad Junaid

Dr. Ahmad Junaid is an Assistant Professor of Finance at IBA, Karachi, and also serves as the Chairperson of the Department of Finance (under the Faculty of Business Administration, FBA). He completed Ph.D. (Financial Engineering) program from IAE AIX Graduate School of Management, ESSEC Paris, in 2014, and MS (Financial Engineering) from I.A.E, Graduate School of Business, France in 2009. Prior to this, he received MBA (Finance) degree from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University in 2007. His area of specialization is financial engineering and finance, and he also served as the Program Coordinator of Finance at IBA. He is also an Assistant Professor and Research Fellow at CBER, IBA.

Dr. Wali-Ullah

Dr. Wali- Ullah is an Associate Professor at IBA, specializing in the areas of economics, research methods and applied economics. He received Ph.D. (Economics) from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 2013, MPhil (Applied Economics) from University of Karachi and MSc (Economics) from International Islamic University, Islamabad.

Dr. Wali Ullah is also an Associate Professor and Research Fellow at CBER and Editor of IBA Business Review, and was the JSPS Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Tohoku University, Sendai between 2013 and 2014. He also served as the Lecturer-Economics at Department of Economics at University of Malakand, Pakistan and Lecturer of Economics at Government Degree College Alpuri, Shangla, Pakistan.

Ahmed Ali Siddiqui

Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui is the Director of IBA-CEIF, and serves as the Executive Vice President of Meezan Bank. He also heads the Product Development and Shari'ah Compliance (PDSC) department at Meezan Bank.

Mr. Siddiqui holds a Bachelors and Master's degree in Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi with six gold medals. His areas of specialization include Islamic Finance & MIS. He has over 14 years of rich Islamic banking experience and has been involved in pioneering work in the field of Islamic finance in Pakistan. His major areas of interest are Shari'ah Compliant product development, Sovereign Sukuk & deal structuring, development of innovative solutions for retail, corporate & consumer banking, formulation of policy guidelines, Islamic banking training, Shari'ah Audit, applicative research & Islamic financial advisory services.

Dr. Saba has more than 13 years of progressive regulatory, research, training and teaching experience with organizations of international repute. She has the honor to be first Pakistani female to be part of International Shari'ah Advisory Board in South East Asia and Middle East. She is member of grand council of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF), Malaysia.

She delivers training both at local and international levels in addition to teaching, research and administrative work. She has written several articles and chapters in books on the topics of management, corporate governance, Islamic finance and Islamic microfinance.

She has extensive regulatory experience with specific focus to promote Islamic banking and finance while working in the Islamic Banking Department of State Bank of Pakistan. She has also contributed to the promotion and growth of Takaful industry while working with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.

She is a Shari'ah-registered financial planner (Shari'ah RFP). She holds the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) credential from INCEIF with distinction and Ph.D. in Islamic Finance from INCEIF. Her areas of interest are political economy, management, Shari'ah, wealth management, Islamic microfinance, corporate governance and Islamic finance.
